Appointed by the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority as Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel at Dhamtari District Court.
Responsibilities:
Provide free and effective legal defence to inmates in custody.
Handle cases referred by Legal Services Authority, Session Courts, Special Courts, and District Jail.
Ensure timely representation in sessions trials, special statutes, and appeals.
Case Experience(Legal Aid Defence counsel system Dhamtari (2023):
Total Sessions Cases Handled (2023 to 2025): ~110
Murder, attempt to murder, sexual offences, outraging modesty, etc.
Special statutes: NDPS, SC/ST Act, POCSO Act, etc.
